3 Ingredient Coffee Scrub

3 Ingredient Coffee Scrub

Jul 4, 2018

If you drink a lot of coffee like me, you probably end up with a lot of used coffee grinds. Which seems like a big waste.

You can keep the grinds for a week or so and then add them onto your plants. It works as nice fertilizer. Don’t pour them on your soil right away, that can be too acidic.

Another neat solution is using your coffee grinds as an exfoliating scrub for your face or body. My sister Erica has been doing this for a while. It leaves your skin feeling super soft and hydrated. You can use coconut or olive oil. Sugar or salt. When using this for a face scrub, sugar is good since it’s more gentler and better for sensitive skin. Salt is better for exfoliating the body because it’s a bit more rough.

Here are the ingredients:

  • Used coffee grinds, dried up
  • Olive oil or coconut
  • Salt or sugar (or both)
  • Optional: Essential oils of your choice

Add them into a bowl and mix em’ up! Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Have you made DIY scrubs before? What are some of your favourite?
