Ego Center

Ego Center

Feb 25, 2022

The Ego center, also known as the Heart center represents willpower, ego, the material world, determination, your drive and self worth.

It’s a motor center which means it provides the energy necessary to manifest your will and desires. It’s also seen as a direction center since our desires can guide and lead us into alignment.

This center is about bringing in material resources for the community and ourselves.

Most of the gates are part of the community (tribal) circuitry; except gate 51 which is part of the Individual Centering Circuit.

Approximately 37% of the population have a defined Ego center. Conditioning others with their ego and willpower. This center has a huge influence in what society and communities value.

While an estimate of 63% of the population are undefined or completely open. Taking in and amplifying the will of the defined, the energy to prove, to compete and nurture community.

Defined Ego Center

When your heart center is defined you like to be in control of your life and your resources. From where you work to how you make and spend money.

You are meant to let your core desires guide you, they are the breadcrumbs to your inner alignment. It’s healthy for you to express your ego’s desires.

You have consistent access to will and your will can move mountains.

The Undefined Ego Center

You’re able to see what has value and what doesn’t. Who keeps promises and who doesn’t.

You have an objective perspective, you’re able to guide others. Because you have the capacity to take in their energy deeply and guide them from a place of wisdom.

This is based on you being vs doing. With the potential to hold a compassionate loving worldview. Embody your open hearted energy and make space to release the amplified pressure to compete and prove.

The Not Self of this center is: “Do I think I have something to prove?”

If you have an undefined or open Ego center, you amplify the pressure to prove yourself. Yet you’re not designed to be willful and competitive. You might feel the pressure and messaging of the defined heart to push yourself, to be worthy through your actions but because you are not mainly fueled by your will center you feel disappointed when you’re unable to meet those standards. You are not here to prove, your strengths lie in other parts of your design. How can you allow yourself to engage or disengage when necessary?

Gates in the Ego Center

Whether you’re defined or undefined notice what gates you have activated in the Ego Center.

That’s the area where energy will be flowing and processing most often.

What’s the theme of that energy? What center is it connected or pointed towards?

The Ego consists of mainly community circuitry, with the theme of support and material resources. With the exception for Gate 51, which is part of the Individual Centering circuit; the theme for individual empowerment, the willpower to initiate self into new heights.

One more thing

Remember, the centers are a fraction of your design. You are a unique combination of so many other moving parts. Your type, definition, profile, channels, gate, conditioning etc. All this information is pretty high level but a good starting point to get you familiarize with the HD system.

Knowing what energies we broadcast and amplify gives us a better sense of awareness. It helps us build a better understanding of ourselves and others.

You can be whoever you want to be. Human Design simply gives you a little insight on how your energies can support you and provide direction for what tools can help you get there.

♥️ Do you have a defined, undefined or open Ego center?

I have a defined Ego. A lesson I carry with me is that if I set my heart on something I’ll likely follow through, so it’s important I commit to things that are aligned otherwise burnout happens. This little but mighty Will center has often been misused by pushing myself further than my body can handle.
